Seeing 5 players I’ve coached in Ghana’s World Cup squad makes me happy – Zito

Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has taken pride in coaching five members of Ghana’s 26-man squad that participated in the 2022  World Cup.

He said it makes him happy and is grateful to God for the knowledge God has given to him.

“My achievements are a lot in the last World Cup we went, I have about five players who have passed through me so that alone makes me feel happy with the knowledge that God has given to me,” Zito told 3 Sports.

“When you look at the 2022 World Cup, I have Barnieh, Danlad, Salisu, Fatawu and Baba Rahman. Barnieh still talks to me.”

Three members of his 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad made it to the tournament in Qatar in Daniel Afriyie, Danlad Ibrahim, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Zito also coached Baba Rahman at Dreams before he left for Europe while he also added Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu to the list.
