Patrick Twumasi scores for Maccabi Netanya in draw against Hapoel Be’er Sheva

Ghanaian forward Patrick Twumasi was on the score sheet for his Israeli side Maccabi Netanya in their 2-2 drawn game against Hapoel Be’er Sheva at the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium on Sunday.

The home side opened the scores of the game as early as the 6th minute through Rotem Hatuel after their dominance paid off.

Twumasi who last scored for his side in October 2022 in their 2-1 loss to the same opponents grabbed the equalizer in the 17th minute of the game.

In the 39th minute, Serbian striker Igor Zlatanović gave the away side Maccabi Netanya the lead before with four minutes to end the first half Sagiv Jehezkel to make it 2-2.

There were no more goals as the game ended in a stalemate in a second half that promised so much but failed to produce any goals.

Patrick Twumasi has now scored two goals in ten matches this season in the Israeli topflight.

Hapeol Be’er Sheva with the draw a now third on the league log while Maccabi Netanya are 8th with 21 points.
