MTN FA Cup: Kotoko eliminated as Liberty Professionals suffer heavily against Dreams

Asante Kotoko bowed out of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup following their 1-0 defeat to Aduana FC on Sunday, February 26.

Sam Adams scored the game’s only goal in the 59th minute at the Agyemang Badu I Park to ensure the betPawa Ghana Premier League leaders advanced to the quarterfinals of the stage.

Elsewhere, Dreams FC had a commanding victory over Division One League side, Liberty Professionals, at home to also book a place in the next stage.

Ali Huzaf was on the scoresheet for the Believers before Liberty recorded an own goal as they suffered elimination.

Kofi Kordzi scored the winning penalty for Legon Cities against Volta Rangers after playing out a 1-1 draw at full-time.

Ebusua Dwarfs secured a slot in the last eight with a narrow victory over Kotoku Royals while Skyy FC were 2-1 winners over Heart of Lions.

Nsoatreman won 7-6 on penalties against Debibi United after coming from behind to take the game to extra time.

Real Tamale United and King Faisal also sailed through with victories over Samartex and Steadfast FC respectively.
