Medeama won’t rush to appoint substantive coach after Umar Abdul Rabi departure
Medeama SC will not be in a haste to appoint a substantive trainer for the club following the departure of Umar Abdul Rabi.
The young tactician tendered in his resignation letter right after their 1-1 stalemate against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Wednesday night.
On Friday, the bankroller of the club, Mr. Moses Armah, met with players and the technical to confirm the exit of Umar Rabi from the team.
The club has therefore handed caretaker roles to coach Stephen Pius Gurah, Ben Owu and Mark Nkrumah.
Footballghana.com understands the Yellow and Mauves will not rush in appointing a coach for the club.
It is said the club will do a broader consultation and analysis before appointing a new trainer for the two-time FA Cup champions.
The new technical team first assignment will be on Sunday, as Medeama hosts Berekum Chelsea at the Akoon Park.
