Ghanaian attacker Richmond Boakye Yiadom scores on his Al-Akhdar debut to earn a point for the side
Ghana international, Richmond Boakye Yiadom debuted for his new club Al-Akhdar on Wednesday, March 8, in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The forward started for his club in the clash against Saint Eloi Lupopo early in the afternoon.
In Round 4 of the group stage matches in the CAF Confederations Cup, Richmond Boakye Yiadom started as the main striker upfront for his team.
Unfortunately for Al-Akhdar, the team had a slow start to the game and trailed by a goal to nil to Saint Eloi Lupopo after just 15 minutes of play.
A strike from Malanga Horso Mwaku handed the visitors the lead in their quest to record a win.
However, very late in injury time of the second half, Ghana striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom provided a moment of magic and scored with a fine strike to force the match to end in a 1-1 draw.
Despite avoiding defeat today, Al-Akhdar remains bottom of the Group A standings of the CAF Confederation Cup.
