Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil reacts to KRC Genk’s stalemate at St. Truiden in Belgium top-flight
Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has reacted to KRC Genk’s stalemate against St. Truiden at away in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
The 25-year-old started and lasted 78 minutes as his outfit played a 2-2 draw with St. Truiden on Sunday.
After the game, the Black Stars winger took to social media to thank Genk fans for the unflinching support.
“Tough derby today with an 🅰️ ! Thanks to our traveling fans for the support” he tweeted.

The visitors shot into the lead through Mbwana Samatta after 23 minutes into the encounter.
Before recess, the home team restored parity through Shinji Okazaki who scored in the 45th minute mark to make 1-1.
After the break, Genk restored their lead through Mbwana Samatta in the 62nd minute. But St Truiden fought to level pegging through Gianni Bruno in the 77th minute to make 1-1 at the end of the game.
Paintsil is enjoying an amazing season with Genk, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.
He is expected to make the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON doubleheader qualifiers against Angola later this month.
