Former Ghana striker Razak Pimpong donates footballs to Dreams FC
Former Ghana striker Razak Pimpong, in partnership with his former club Viborg F.F., donated 20 footballs to Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC.
The donation, which took place on Monday, was made in an effort to promote the development of football in Ghana and to motivate the players of Dreams FC.
Speaking on behalf of Razak, Yakubu Pimpong, brother of the former striker said, “Razak wants to donate those balls to you so it can help develop talented players so one day they can also grow into superstars and professionals.
“He wants to help same as he was also supported when playing in Ghana.”
Razak Pimpong, who was a member of the Ghanaian Olympic football team in 2004, was part of the team that failed to make it past the group stages after finishing third in group B.
In 2006, Pimpong was named in Ghana’s squad for the FIFA World Cup in Germany. He also played for the senior national team, the Black Stars, on ten occasions and scored one goal.
