Asante Kototoko players must begin to get serious – Jordan Opoku

Former Asante Kotoko player Jordan Opoku has urged the players to begin to get serious if they want to achieve anything at the club.

The Porcupine Warriors have not been consistent with their performances this season and have just been kicked out of the FA Cup on Sunday by Aduana FC after losing 1-0.

Seydou Zerbo’s side is also third on the league log with 28 points, 7 points of Aduana FC , who are first.

Opoku believes the players must sit up and heavily rely on the instructions of the technical team.

“The players of Kotoko must show seriousness if they want to achieve anything at Kotoko and not necessarily wait for the coach’s instructions,” he told Akoma FM.

“Yes, the coach will do his work but the job lies with the players. If not, we will always continue to apportion blame on this and that. The current players at Kotoko do not want to learn, if you don’t do that, there’s no way the results will change.”
