Tamale City were unable to made their home advantage count after suffering defeat at the hands of high-flying Accra Lions.
The Tamale-based club suffered a 1-0 defeat against Accra Lions at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in matchday 20 of the Ghana Premier League.
Despite creating several goal scoring opportunities, both teams were unable to find the back of the net.
After the break, the visitors proved to be the stronger side and opened the scoring in the 90th minute mark to make 1-0.
Dominic Amponsah strike in the dyeing embers of the game ensured Accra Lions pick all points at stake over the relegation threatened Tamale City.
Prior to the game, Tamale City had recorded some good run of results in their last five games. They had won two and drawn three in the process.
The win sends Accra Lions to the second position on the league log with 34 points whiles Tamale City remains in the relegation drop.
Tamale City still sits 17th position with 20 points after 20 matches into the Ghana Premier league campaign.
